Dear my big baby boy,
WOW what a big boy you have become, as talked about in the last to post about putting you to bed and letting you put yourself to sleep I was little scared to do, I'm new at all this, one day someone says don't do it, it is bad for them, and one day someone says do it, it teaches them to sooth their self, it is good for them. So really I wasn't sure what to do or what I wanted to do, but on June 19th well really June 20th bc it was after midnight (of course) I was trying to put you to sleep it was a Sunday night and Daddy had picked up a shift at BC so it was just me and you. I rocked you and rocked you and when you would go to sleep I would hold you for a while justvas we always did, but this time every time I would stand up your eyes would open. So i thought since I had sheets in the dryer that I had to put on the bed I would take you to your club tell you good night and I would putty sheets on the bed and see how you did, and of course you cried, I got the sheets out put them on the bed, peed, turned on the.monitor and your had stopped crying you were asleep and you slept all night. It was bitter sweet but i was so proud of you. So now every night since then we have been rocking you for 10 mins then putting you to bed and you go to sleep. You even did the same for Susie and Mamaw. Tonight you were so sleepy you cried about 15 mins which you have only been crying about 2 but you were wore out. Mommy and daddy are so.proud of the big boy you are!

Dear my hard to get to sleep baby boy,
I said in the last post I was going to try and put you in your bed without putting you to sleep that night. Well I didn't even try, but you just kept getting harder and harder to put to sleep. So I talked to your Daddy some more about it and of course he says its whatever you think is best baby. As he leaves a lot up to me.

Dear Baby Boy,
Well I will start out by saying, Mommy is sorry if this harms you in any way, as I read about letting babies CRY IT OUT, I read some crazy things, that is it awful for babies, and it is awful for the baby as they get older in causing anxiety and other things. I also read it make the child feel abandon, and unwanted, and uncared for. NONE OF THESE ARE THE CASE. You are very LOVED, and WANTED and you will also NEVER be ABANDONED by us. We love you more then you will ever know, and when you are one day older enough to know just how much we love you (when you have children of you own) you will understand why I did what I did.
Mommy was cooking some breakfast burritos for the freezer and you wouldnt stop pulling at my leg and crying, you were sleepy, you wanted a nap. So I deiced to take you to your bed and give you your blanket and lay you down, You cried for about 8-10 mins off and on and then you went to sleep for your normal 1 hr nap. I hope this is the start of a new thing for you and that you will do this tonight when I put in your bed to see how you do.

Dear Daddy's Boy,
WOW, We have always has a little trouble when it became bed time and Daddys wasnt home, but NEVER this much trouble. Here it is 3am and I just got you down about 15 mins ago. I dont understand it, Daddy puts you to sleep at night when he is here, but when mommy and daddy are both at work Susie puts you to bed just fine, and so does Mamaw (most the time LOL) and before Mimi got sick she always put you to bed JUST FINE. Never much of a problem.
On Sunday when I came home from work the night Mamaw kept you, when I came in you were awake, I asked how long you had been awake and Mamaw told me you had not been to sleep, it was 7am. Mommy wasy not happy. Im not sure if this is why you are trying Mommy or what but last night (Monday) it was about 2 when you went to bed, and tonight I had to put you in here in mommys bed and play KLOVE on my phone since I dont have a radio in here, and you finally relaxed and went to sleep. You are sleeping pretty sound right now, and I dont plan to move you until Daddys gets home in the morning, and he will. So for now tonight you will share a bed with Mommy.
Mommy had many plan to get you are a better schedule.

Dear Mommys Little Fish
Aquarium In TN, I planned to just put this in the same post with the TN post, but I now see I need to do its own post since I have so many pictures, This was your 1st time at the Aquarium and you LOVED it. At first we kept you in your stroller bc sometime you get just a little to wild, but you wanted to get out and touch the glass so we let you out. You did good, held my hand or someones hand and did great. When we got to the area when you could pet the horse shoe crab you werent scared at all, you went right for it, like you wanted to hold it, but you were still to little to do some. Then mommy turned around and Daddy had you going under this thing so you could peak your head up and look at the fish, I never thought Daddy would get in the floor to do this, but he went right for it, daddy will do anything for you or anything that makes you happy. After that we then went to the Pingune are and mommy crawled through it with you so you could so see them. You had a BLAST while we were there and Im so glad.
Dear Mimi's little boy,
I know Meme going through chemo is not something you will ever remember, you will probably never remember Meme without hair or anything that has to do with cancer. But Meme has her last chemo today in Maryland, she will have to contiune to go back to Maryland to be checked but will no longer come home sick and weak, she will come home the same way she went, and that is heathly and strong.
Meme cancer is a very rare cancer and it started a a tumor on the thimic glad about 4 or 5 years ago, they removed it here at KDMC and removed it liek open heart surgery, they also had to remove the lining of part of her lung. Everything seems fine after that until she started to have many problems again, she decied to finally go to the Mayo Clinic, she wasnt there long they knew what was wrong but told her a different place to go, what Meme has in so rare it isnt well known how to treat it. She has had to take some VERY STRONG doses of chemo, but last check all tumors were GONE !!
Dear Baby Boy,
Wow, We had a blast in TN, This was your second trip or 3rd if you want to count when you were in mommys belly. This time we stayed at Meme and Papaws condo, and it is AWESOME. We are on top of the Mountin, the resort is great, there is the indoor water park and then 2 outdoor pools, they are very nice also. You were alittle scared of the water park, I think due to all the noise and water, but you hung right on to mommy and daddy. We took you down many evenings to the outside pool and swam and you werent as scared.
We had many dinners out while we were there, and a few dinners in, We had a BIG breakfast fixed my all of our Aunts and Uncles and BOY OH BOY was it Yummy. After that we went to the Aquarium. (will do sperate post) We also went on a CRAZY LONG all day drive, we meant to go to a place called Cade's Cove and we ended up on the top of the mountin (the highest point) and it took forever to get up there and forever to get back down, then we drove another FOREVER to actually get to Cade's Cove, we went to see bears, in which we didnt end up seeing any, but we were in mid day they say you need to go early morning. Atleast we know where it is and will go again next time.
While we were in TN Aunt Sue, Uncle Jim, Aunt Nonie, Aunt Sue Sue, and Uncle Liele came down and stayed a few days and it was so much fun to see you get to enjoy their company. We had a blast.
Dear Baby Bunny
What a GREAT Easter we had. Altho this was your second Easter, you were so little in your 1st Easter. You really enjoyed your stuff from the Easter Bunny, You got a nice basket and a chair for the back pourch. Once you opened your Easter Basket (which was early since you were wide awake when mommy got home) we then took showers and got ready for church. After church we came home for a little while and took a hr or so nap before heading to Meme's to eat and have an Easter Egg Hunt.
Dear the little boy I miss so much while Im at work,
While we are away at work you are always so GREAT! You love your time with "Gugie" on Thursdays and Mamaw on Saturdays. You will be back staying with Meme on Fridays for sure before long. Just as soon as Meme is better! We are so blessed to have "Gugie", Mamaw, and Meme they all three LOVE to keep you and watch you just as much as you LOVE to be with them, and of course we can't forget Papaw on Saturday mornings, he is always her at 6:15 am for Daddy to head to work until Mommy gets home from work. We have an AWESOME family.
Thursday nights with "Gugie"- Many nights she bring "Little Red" and you LOVE to play with her, she is your big buddy, and some nights she brings Johnathan and you also love when he gets in the floor and plays cars with you. You love Gugie, and NEVER have had a hard time staying with her. Your very first night with her you cried for 2 sec, I was to the car when you stoped. Im so glad you enjoy staying with "Gugie" and much as mommy and daddy are happy to leave you with her.
Saturday morning with Papaw- Papaw comes EVERY Saturday morning to watch you until mommy can get home from work, and so far you have stayed asleep, altho your Papaw is very loud and Im sure soon if he doesnt learn to keep it quite you will be awake one morning when I come home. Altho NOT MUCH LONGER, and you will start going back to Meme's on Saturday morning or Friday nights since Meme is having her last chemo right now.
Saturday nights with Mamaw- Every night Mamaw walks throught the door with a McD's bag with you some french fries and her a large coke from Speedway and you know she will have it, first thing you do is reach for that pop or fries, and for some reason you dont sleep well when Mamaw is here, I dont know why or if you would just rather stay up and play with her and not sleep, but almost every morning when I come home you are awake.

When mommy tells you to do something, you do it. Such as get your blanket, get your juice, get you passie, lets go bye bye, and bring me my phone. Those are all things you do alot during the day.

I hate it that I forget such important details, AHHH! I have no memorie, which is why I started this, and lately I have not been keeping up with it, which breaks my heart. NO MORE! I will keep it updated, for you, for me, and one day for your wife and children. I love you baby boy, and Im sorry.

Dear The sweetest Lion on Earth,
Today was Trick or Treat, and you were a Lion, You were soooo cute, Mommy and Daddy were thinking about not taking you becasue you had your first case of the croup on Tuesday and we were scared of getting you out in the cold, but when we started it wasnt very cold, But by the end it was VERY cold. Your cosutme was SOOO CUTE, and It was Cameron's when he was about your age, Nana Linda made it for him when he was little, and they passed it on to you. We had a good time, it was... Mommy, Daddy, You, Britta, Kayleigh (strawberry short cake), Aunt B, Uncle Keith, Cameron (Ninjia), Brandon (Football player), Paul, Fanny, Faith (Princess), Garret (Buzz Light Year).We went to Mimi's first and then we went up around Hager school and walked around there. The first few house Mommy or Daddy carried you to the door, You got a few candy bars to eat and mommy let you have one or two while we were out. But most of the candy you couldnt eat, you were still to little, I think you had a few suckers and a few candy bars, other then that mommy and daddy ate some and then we threw most of it away. But this next year you will be able to eat most all of it. It should be lots of fun !!!

It is AWFUL, I don't remember complete details from when you walked, I don't know why or how I don't remember but I don't, This goes to show I WILL keep an update on this blog from now on. Please forgive me baby boy, mommy loves you more then you will ever know. I will be asking Daddy tomorrow if he remembers.

Hello OLBH and RSV...
This is something mommy and daddy have always be scared of, RSV is crazy and something mommy has always been scared of you getting, So when you were a baby baby mommy and daddy kept you in alot around this time of year to keep you away from all the germs, but as you got a little older mommmy and daddy took you everywhere we went, and since Mimi was sick and going through chemo we didnt really have a choice but you take you with us or only one of us go, so we would bundle you up in some warm cloths and be on our way.
We could tell you were starting to get an "upper respritory infection" so we thought thats all it was and Daddy headed off to school in Morehead, and Mommy took you to the Dr. On this day was the FIRST day Daddy ever forgot his cell phone at home, which is something he NEVER does. When we went to the Dr to see Dr Cook, who we LOVE she tested you for RSV rigth away, they then gave you a breathing treatment and a shot and told mommy they thought you would end up in the hospital that night, if you started grunting when you would breath or if you started to have a hard time breathing. Well I couldnt get a hold of you Daddy to tell him the awful news bc he didnt have his phone. I just prayed that you would be ok, and that Mommy wouldnt have to take you to the hospital alone. They had you hooked up to A MILLION things, an pluse ox on your foot you tried to take off all the time, an IV in your arm and ALWAYS coming in to give you a breathing tx which you HATED.
Later that eve after Daddy got home you started to grunt when you would breath and you were not wanting to drink or eat ANYTHING. We could tell you didnt feel good at all and you were only getting worse. So Mommy called Dr Cooks on call number and she sent you into the hospital as Direct Admit. We were there 4 days and 3 nights and it was CRAZY ! You didnt sleep much and neither did Mommy and Daddy. The first night Mommy ended up get an AWFUL stomach virus, and I threw up for hours, at abour 3:00am I and threw up so much I couldnt hardly walk I was so weak, Daddy said I was as white as a ghoast and he called your Mamaw to come and help us. I got a little rest and stoped throwing up. The night got a little better since I was no longer throwing up, but you wouldnt sleep in the crib so mommy had to sign somethign so we could get a normal hospital bed and that way mommy and daddy could lay in it and hold you and you sleep with us, we took turns and NO WHERE in that hospital room is comfortable to sleep on.
Mimi and Papaw couldnt be around you bc the RSV and Mimi being on chemo could really make Mimi sick, the Dr. told Mommy that you couldnt be around Mimi for 3 to 4 weeks, and it was a LONG 3 to 4 weeks Mimi wanted to see you so bad, but we couldnt take the chance of Mimi getting sick.
So at a little over a year old you have been in the hospital 3 times. 1 when you were born, 1 when you had a stomach virus at a very young ago, and this time with RSV.
Wow we had a GREAT turn out for your Birthday Party! We had to have your Birthday party ALOT later then your Birhtday, but it had been alittle crazy, and that was the first time we could get around to doing it. You got lots of gifts for your Birthday, and we had lots of fun with pizza, chips, pop, cake and ice cream. Mommy will post pictures as soon I get them uploaded !

Happy Birthday baby boy! Mommy and Daddy can not believe you are ONE!! Wow how fast you have grown! It is so hard to beleive.
On your birthday Meme was in Maryland doing chemo treatments and we were unable to do your Birthday party that day. So mommy and daddy just spent the day with you, we got you a small toy and took you out for ice cream, and then we got a phone call that Nevaeh and Jaydah and Aunt Kamilah wanted to come and see you and much to our surprise they had you cupcakes and we sang to you, it was GREAT!!

Happy Birthday Baby Boy
Santa came to see you this year, You were a VERY good boy! You got many toys this year, altho they were not wrapped (Santa thought it would be better for you to not have to unwrap alot) You had a GREAT Christmas! We are so happy you enjoyed your gifts from Santa, But most of all we need to always remember that Christmas is abot the birth of JESUS!!!
