1-27-2011

It is AWFUL, I don't remember complete details from when you walked, I don't know why or how I don't remember but I don't, This goes to show I WILL keep an update on this blog from now on. Please forgive me baby boy, mommy loves you more then you will ever know. I will be asking Daddy tomorrow if he remembers.

1-25-2011 RSV

Hello OLBH and RSV...
This is something mommy and daddy have always be scared of, RSV is crazy and something mommy has always been scared of you getting, So when you were a baby baby mommy and daddy kept you in alot around this time of year to keep you away from all the germs, but as you got a little older mommmy and daddy took you everywhere we went, and since Mimi was sick and going through chemo we didnt really have a choice but you take you with us or only one of us go, so we would bundle you up in some warm cloths and be on our way.

We could tell you were starting to get an "upper respritory infection" so we thought thats all it was and Daddy headed off to school in Morehead, and Mommy took you to the Dr. On this day was the FIRST day Daddy ever forgot his cell phone at home, which is something he NEVER does. When we went to the Dr to see Dr Cook, who we LOVE she tested you for RSV rigth away, they then gave you a breathing treatment and a shot and told mommy they thought you would end up in the hospital that night, if you started grunting when you would breath or if you started to have a hard time breathing. Well I couldnt get a hold of you Daddy to tell him the awful news bc he didnt have his phone. I just prayed that you would be ok, and that Mommy wouldnt have to take you to the hospital alone. They had you hooked up to A MILLION things, an pluse ox on your foot you tried to take off all the time, an IV in your arm and ALWAYS coming in to give you a breathing tx which you HATED.

Later that eve after Daddy got home you started to grunt when you would breath and you were not wanting to drink or eat ANYTHING. We could tell you didnt feel good at all and you were only getting worse. So Mommy called Dr Cooks on call number and she sent you into the hospital as Direct Admit. We were there 4 days and 3 nights and it was CRAZY ! You didnt sleep much and neither did Mommy and Daddy. The first night Mommy ended up get an AWFUL stomach virus, and I threw up for hours, at abour 3:00am I and threw up so much I couldnt hardly walk I was so weak, Daddy said I was as white as a ghoast and he called your Mamaw to come and help us. I got a little rest and stoped throwing up. The night got a little better since I was no longer throwing up, but you wouldnt sleep in the crib so mommy had to sign somethign so we could get a normal hospital bed and that way mommy and daddy could lay in it and hold you and you sleep with us, we took turns and NO WHERE in that hospital room is comfortable to sleep on.

Mimi and Papaw couldnt be around you bc the RSV and Mimi being on chemo could really make Mimi sick, the Dr. told Mommy that you couldnt be around Mimi for 3 to 4 weeks, and it was a LONG 3 to 4 weeks Mimi wanted to see you so bad, but we couldnt take the chance of Mimi getting sick.

So at a little over a year old you have been in the hospital 3 times. 1 when you were born, 1 when you had a stomach virus at a very young ago, and this time with RSV.

Wow we had a GREAT turn out for your Birthday Party! We had to have your Birthday party ALOT later then your Birhtday, but it had been alittle crazy, and that was the first time we could get around to doing it. You got lots of gifts for your Birthday, and we had lots of fun with pizza, chips, pop, cake and ice cream. Mommy will post pictures as soon I get them uploaded !

Happy Birthday baby boy! Mommy and Daddy can not believe you are ONE!! Wow how fast you have grown! It is so hard to beleive.

On your birthday Meme was in Maryland doing chemo treatments and we were unable to do your Birthday party that day. So mommy and daddy just spent the day with you, we got you a small toy and took you out for ice cream, and then we got a phone call that Nevaeh and Jaydah and Aunt Kamilah wanted to come and see you and much to our surprise they had you cupcakes and we sang to you, it was GREAT!!

Mommy does have pictures some where and will post them as soon as I find them to upload them :)

Baby's 1st Christmas

Santa came to see you this year, You were a VERY good boy! You got many toys this year, altho they were not wrapped (Santa thought it would be better for you to not have to unwrap alot) You had a GREAT Christmas! We are so happy you enjoyed your gifts from Santa, But most of all we need to always remember that Christmas is abot the birth of JESUS!!!

Your 1st Christmas Eve

Its your First Christmas Eve
On Christmas Eve morning when we woke up it seemed like just another normal day. But this day Santa had stoped by the house on his way to the North Pole to load his Sleigh he had left you a toy ! Oh How exciting it was. It was on the front prouch in front of the door.

"What is this, Brycen come look!"

After this we then got showers and got dressed as it is a tradtion to go to candle light servce at chruch on Christmas eve, It is so pretty, we sing many songs and they last one is always silent night with everyone has a candle lite, the children have glow sticks (you had one this year) Mommy loves this part of Christmas.

After we all got ready we went to Meme and Papaw's alittle early to celebrate with Nevaeh, Jaydah, Aunt Kam, Uncle D, Meme and Papaw. We then exchanged gifts with them. We got Nevaeh and Jaydah Scentsy Buddy's from us, and They got you a super cool little "band" set with drums and lots of music, We have left it at Meme's for you to play with it, You LOVE it! You got many many toys from Memem's house, with a HUGE card rug and a sand and water table for the back pourch for you to go out side and play with when it gets warm. Lots of cars (which you LOVE) and lots of trains and tracks.

Your Mamaw then meet us at Meme and Papaw's so she could go to Chruch with us, after church we headed back to our house for Christmas eve with Mamaw and Aunt B and Uncle Keith and Uncle Rob and Aunt Amanda and the kids. It was fun, but of course not the same without ur Papaw, but Papaw watched everyone open every gift. You got a bear and a book that reads together from Papaw and Mamaw.

After everyone left Mommy heard something out front on the pourch again, I wasnt sure what it was but I knew Santa always droped a pair of PJ's on our pourch on Christmas Eve so we had a new pair to sleep in on Christmas Eve Night. Thats what it was. PJ's from Santa !!!

Now it is time for Daddy to ready you a Christmas bed time story and then its bed time, Tomorrow is a BIG day it was your FIRST CHRISTMAS !!! Santa will be coming to vist you for the VERY FIRST TIME. I wonder what all he will bring you...

Now its bed time. We put you to bed and we went to bed and Santa came.

RIP Papaw Ray

RIP Papaw Ray. We miss you and Love you.

As this is a sad story that many may not want to read inclucding yourself, I think it is something you need to one day be able to look back on, So here we go...

We were getting the house ready for our Christmas Eve Party with Daddy's family we were cleaning and about to put some food in the oven and in the crock pot to get it all started. The house was just about done, and your daddy was in the bathroom cleaning. I answered the phone and your Mamaw was very panic sounded and said "Tell Joe to get out here" I said "Out where" She said "Out to the house, Daddy isn't responding to me" I said "Call 911" Your Daddy then heard the panic in my voice as he step out of the bathroom and said whats going on ? I said get to your moms your dad isn't responding. He took off then. I knew your daddy's was upset and would need us there, but I didn't want to hold him back with trying to get you in your car seat or you some diapers and all so he went on and left. I knew I would be there as soon as I could. But I didn't have a care BC Daddy had mine and Daddy's had a flat tire. I then called you Aunt B and Uncle Keith and told him to get there as soon as he could, But they live about 15-20 mins from us in Worthington so I knew it would take them a little while. I waited and waited to seem what felt like forever which I knew wasn't. I called your Aunt Kamilah to come and get you and Your Meme to come take me to your Daddy. On the way our there your Daddy told me your Papaw had passed away. When mommy got there Daddy just grabbed ahold of me and cried, What about Bubby's first Christmas or his first Birthday, but your Papaw is watching you do things we will never be able to see. He sees EVERYTHING you do. From when your sleeping to when your playing. He sees everything.

It is for sure bitter sweet, as we miss you Papaw very much every day. He is much better off in Heaven where he no longer has trouble breathing or is in pain or always sick to his stomach he is at peace now. He is watching over you EVERY DAY baby boy. And altho you may not remember your Papaw he loves your more then we will ever be able to explain to you. He was very excited when Mommy got pregnant and he always was checking on us to see how you were when you was in mommys belly.
