Meeting your Papaw's

Dear Brycen,

The first time you got to meet your Papaw Charland, he came to the house a few days after you were born to see you. Here is a picture of it.

The first time you got to meet your Papaw Burke you were only a few days old to, He was in the hospital when you were born, so he was unable to come to the hospital you were being born at. (altho he did ask if he could leave for the day and then come back, BC he wanted to be there when you were born) Meme and Papaws dogs bite him and set up a lot of infection he was in there for about a week and a half or so. They first night your papaw got to meet you he was so happy, Him and Meme stayed the night that night to.

If you look close you can see Papaws hand is still got a big wrap on it

Your many ways of sleeping.

Dear Brycen,

You have slept many ways since you were born. The first few weeks you slept in a co-sleep in our bed, then in a co-sleeper connected to our bed, you have self in a boppy in our bed, with your legs propped up on something, by yourself in our bed, in Mommy's arms, in daddy's arms, on daddy chest in your car seat (more many months) and in the play pin, and now on your own in your own bed (its been 4 nights straight)

When you were just a few weeks you were colic and you wouldn't sleep unless your daddy was holding you up on his chest and sitting in her chair, so many nights we slept in the living room with you, anything to keep you from crying and to keep your belly from hurting.

Your first night at home.

Dear my baby boy,

WOW!!!! Your first night at home was wild. Mommy was scared to death for you to sleep, plus you didn't want to sleep very well and mommy wouldn't let you sleep in your own room so daddy took the play pin out of the living room and took it into our bed room. Altho that still didn't work, I was scared to death. Meme stayed the night with us the first few nights, BC mommy was scared, I thought maybe I wouldn't know what to do. Although mommy and daddy in the end did a great job for first time parents, I slept NONE for the first few days, I was scared to take my eyes off of you, and then it seemed like I would calm down enough to sleep and you would wake up crying or you would cough or something and I was scared all over again.

Then Mommy's birthday came along and Meme and Aunt Kam got me what is called a co-sleep and it is connected to the bed, you can roll in our bed, and I cant roll into your co-sleeper but I could see your every move and touch you, It is awesome. And we used it until you were about 7 months old.

Jan 5th 2010

Dear Brycen,

We left the hospital after having you on Jan 5th 2010. It was such a snowy day, I was a nervous wreck, scared to death to get you outside on those roads, many roads and high ways were closed due to the roads being so bad and because of wrecks. I was sooo scared, but I knew your daddy would drive slow and get us home safely.

Daddy went out to get the car and the nurse took me and you down stairs to the car. We were so ready to take you home, in our own enviorment and in our own home where we were used to every thing, and we wanted to get you used to everything. It was a great feeling to finally be bringing our baby boy home.

WIll you Marry me ??

Dear Brycen,

In 2007 you daddy asked me to marry him, I knew it was coming sometime we had been together 5 years and mommy was in nursing school getting her career started and daddy was a paramedic at the time. We had talked about getting married and we had looked at rings, but I wasn't sure he had one and I didn't know when he would ask me.

So that eve he had told me he was going to go work out, and at the place me worked out at it closed at 8:00pm, I layed down to take a nap when he told me he was going to go work out, and a new place had opened up to eat in Huntington that mommy loved to eat at (Steak and Shake) so daddy had promised he would take me to eat. Well when I woke up at like 8:45 he was not here, and I had not heard from him, so I called and called his cell phone, I was soo upset, he wouldn't answer his phone. When he got to the house and I was still pretty mad, but was getting over it for sure. When we started to "Huntington" to eat he said I want to drive by the lot (the lot we were building the house on ((story to come soon)) So I said OK, confused at why he wanted to drive by when it was getting dark, but never thought about it. When we pulled in this is what I saw....

How sweet

Good idea, I had always said I wanted something others didn't do :)

So then we called my mom and she came to take pictures, Altho everyone already knew I felt like. Meme and Papaw knew BC Papaw got the steaks to put the signs on, and Meme had the camera ready to come take pictures, Leslie and Aaron (our soon to be neighbors at the time) and Aunt Liz and Uncle Keith knew BC Aunt Liz helped him with the signs, And Mamaw and Papaw knew BC daddy still lived with them at the time. Also many people drove by telling daddy how sweet it was, so they all knew.

I LOVED it I was sooo happy, I couldn't believe what a cute idea he had. I hope and pray one day you grow up to be just a sweet, respectful, and loving as you daddy is.

Mommy and Daddy summer of 2002

Dear Brycen,

A long time before we every even imagined having a baby, I meet you daddy the summer of 2002. One day I was swimming with some friends at Meme and Papaws and at one time I dated one of daddy's friends. And your daddy, his friend, and another one of their friends (Uncle Chris) showed up at Meme's. At this time I had never meet you daddy, but I thought he was one of the nicest guys I had ever meet.

That night we all went to the movies the 3 guys and me and Sara (one of mommy's really good friends at the time) When we got home from the movies I got online on ICQ (a chat line) and was talking to your Uncle Chris and told him I liked your daddy alot and thought I could so see us together, and he told me your daddy would never do that to his friend, so I left it at that, I didn't say anything else for a while.

Later on me and you daddy became good friends and I was still hanging out with your daddy's friend that I used to date but I wasn't dating him anymore. So me and your daddy got alot closer and started hanging out all the time, we got each other Christmas gifts and started "talking" (which was what we called hanging out, going out on dates, but not boyfriend and girlfriend) and then on my 16th Birthday your daddy and Aunt Kamilah had be a surprise b-day party and that is the night he asked me out (to be his girlfriend) and we have been together since then.

Dear Mr water boy,

You still love the bath just as much as you did the first time, but now you cry when I take you out, and you get excited when you hear me run the bath water and when you know its time for a bath. You love it, splash and splash and splash, kick your feet and everything, you love every min of it.
